Mac Miller - S.D.S.

Mac just dropped this new track called 'S.D.S.' that is really chill. The song, produced by Flying Lotus, will be featured on his upcoming album 'Watching Movies With The Sound Off.' I'm not sure what to expect since Mac has changed his style so much recently. Check this song out though.

 

Rich The Ruler - Between The Lines (Foolish)

Rich Smith, aka Rich The Ruler, is from my hometown Batavia, Illinois and he has been putting out some dope songs. He just released an unfinished (not mastered) version of his newest track, 'Between The Lines.' If you listen to his older work, you can tell that he's really been pushing his limits and improving his flow and delivery a lot. Jay-Z - $100 Bill (Snippet)

This is a f*cking SICK snippet of '$100 Bill' by Jay-Z that is going to be featured on the soundtrack for 'The Great Gatsby' that is set to be released May 10th. If the rest of the soundtrack has this much quality, I might be tempted to get it. Suprisingly, I couldn't find a full-length leaked version, so we'll all have to wait a couple weeks, but listen to this now and hear the greatness.


 

Mac Miller (Larry Fisherman) - SHOWTIME (Mixtape)

Mac Miller, under his production stage name "Larry Fisherman," dropped this mixtape on 4/20. The tape features Mac and a ton of other artists that have started producing. It definitely has the feel of the last tape that "Fisherman" released with the cool, jazz-like touch to it. I'm not sure what to think of it yet, but I was hoping there would be more Mac and not as much Fisherman. Give it a chance for now.


 

Kanye West - 2001 Demo Tape (Unreleased)

This is a demo tape from Kanye West that was previously unreleased. It has tracks dating back to 2001, some of which you've heard, some of which you haven't. I haven't had time to listen to the whole thing yet, but so far it's dope. Check it out and download it for free from hotnewhiphop.com.

We didn't get the Wiz and Curren$y tape, but here's a solid 4/20 song for you. Produced by Brock Berrigan, 'Good Tree,' is a sick, chill song that's perfect for 4/20. Give it a listen.


 

Wiz Khalifa & Curren$y Songs - Cabana

Wiz & Curren$y are dropping their mixtape 'Live In Concert' tomorrow, 4/20, of course. This is the first track released from the tape and it has a really chill, live sound to it. I was reading the comments associated with this post on HNHH and a lot of people were hatin. If you're a fan of Wiz's songs on his previous albums and tapes, you might not enjoy this one as much, only because the style is completely different. I'm a fan, though, and will be posting the rest of the tape tomorrow! Be ready.

**EDIT: So apparently, the countdown on HNHH was wrong because the tape wasn't released today and it now says "coming soon" again. Sorry for the disappointment. We were all faked out.**

Ludacris Ft. Young Jeezy - Raised In The South

Another couple of big name guys teamed up to release this song, 'Raised In The South,' that is sick. The song will be featured on Luda's upcoming mixtape 'I Don't Give a Fuck,' that will be produced by Metro. I'm not sure as to when the release date is set, but I will keep you posted! DJ Khaled - No New Friends (Ft. Drake, Rick Ross, & Lil Wayne)

This is a dope track produced by Boi-1da & 40 that has some sick verses from big names Drake, Rick Ross and Weezy. The song is hotttt and should be playing on speakers near you soon. The hook is chill and features none other than Drake because he always kills hooks, even when they are as simple as in this song.


 

Funkmaster Flex - Who You Mad At? Me Or Yourself? Pts 1 & 2

Alright, so I could not pass this mixtape up. There are two parts that feature just about every huge artist in the game - Weezy, Wale, Fabolous, Kendrick Lamar - the list goes on and on. It would be a huge mistake for anyone to not get this tape because it has some dope songs that are yours for FREE. Check it out!

This song produced by Havoc is so tight. I've never heard of him before this, but I am thoroughly impressed. This beat is so chill and his flow is perfect. Give this track a listen.

Juicy J let this track loose today and it is sick. It is also FREE. His debut album 'Stay Trippy' is set to be dropped soon, but he wanted to build everyone's anticipation by giving this for free. Get it.

This is a sick single just dropped by Travi$ Scott featuring some big guns, T.I. and 2 Chainz. This beat is so solid and all three of them just kill their verses. You can't ask for much more. Check it.

Kendrick Lamar's latest mixtape is full of quality. It has six solid tracks that go off. He continues to rise on my list of favorites in the rap game. Definitely go and download this tape. You won't be disappointed.


 

Rockie Fresh - Panera Bread (Ft. Rick Ross & Lunice)

Rockie Fresh just dropped this dope track. The beat is a little out there and it has a trap music sound to it, but the verses are sick. The song isn't that great the first time you listen to it, but I'm on number 3 now and it's definitely growing on me. We'll see, but give it a chance.

This is the latest from Tray Jack! The beat has an 80's beat sound to it with a rough sounding kit and rounded synth. Not sure how I feel about the vocoder during the hook, but the song is super chill. I definitely recommend getting it since it is FREE! Check it yo.

This is a dope, chill track that Thunderbird Gerard just dropped. The beat was produced by DJ Stickle & Steddy and has a nice bounce and clap pattern. The hook is smooth and works really well with the song. Give it a listen.

Not that I pay too much attention, but it has been awhile since I've heard something new from DJ Felli Fel. This is a sick song featuring some big name guys - Ne-Yo, Tyga, and Wiz Khalifa. The song has a really catchy hook and the beat is just tight. Check it.

Here's the newest release from Jay-Z. This song is so sick, all three of them just kill the track. It's been awhile since I've heard anything new from Jay-Z, but he has done well once again. Check this shit out.


 

Eddie B - Horsepower Mixtape

Here's another mixtape that was dropped pretty recently. The songs are produced by Harry Fraud who has shot up my list of sick producers. Fraud's mixtape, 'Adrift,' that I posted a little while back is incredible. Eddie B does a great job of tearing up these beats, but I'm giving a lot of credit to Fraud.


 

Big K.R.I.T. - K.R.I.T. Mixtape

Big K.R.I.T.'s newest mixtape just dropped and it's pretty dope. He produced almost all of the songs himself, and continues to spit some fire on them. 'Country Shit' is still probably my favorite song by K.R.I.T., but this mixtape is solid. Check it out and download for free.

Cudi recently announced his departure from Kanye West's G.O.O.D. label, which leads me to believe that he has some big plans to start a label of his own. Cudi continues to impress with this song, and the anticipation of his newest album continues to grow. Check it out.

Timeflies is a sick hip hop artist that has taken over the party music scene. This is his new song released on his YouTube channel a couple weeks ago. Every few weeks he uploads some new songs so I definitely recommend subscribing to his channel. This song features samples from Rihanna's 'Stay.'

 

Chiddy Bang - Friday (On My Way)

This is the newest from Chiddy Bang called 'Friday.' The beat produced by The Hood Internet is pretty chill, but Chiddy turns it up and kills it. I'm not sure how I feel about the use of a vocoder, but the song is still great.
