This is an interesting combination, but this track has a sick trap feel to it. I can't really tell how I feel about it right now, but I'm sure it will grow on me in the next few days. Check it out and let me know what you think!

This one isn't super new since it was dropped on Big Sean's album a couple weeks ago. But, 'Ashley' has quickly become one of my favorite hip hop/rap songs. The hook is so smooth and Big spits some tight verses to this one. Check it out.

This is a sick new song from Huey Mack. The beat, produced by Lu Balz, is so tight and almost has some electro house build line. Mike Stud has hopped on this track and spits fire like he typically does. The hook is so smooth as well. Check it.

This is an exclusive leak of Drake's upcoming album, 'Nothing Was The Same.' This full album stream is incredible. I just picked this track up for FREE from hotnewhiphop.com. It's a new chill track from Chiddy Bang. The beat has a smooth guitar and synth bass that make this a perfect track to listen to as the summer comes to a close. Check it out.

Mac Miller has really been trying to drop his party boy image and here he drops into almost an R&B type sound. His new album 'Watching Movies With The Sound Off' is set to be released on the U.S. iTunes on June 18. It should be interesting to see what style he goes with.

Sorry about the lack of posts lately! I've been very busy with my job this summer and haven't had time to do too much musical research. Luckily, The Triads, comprised of Deen Garba, James Black, and Shaheen Lashani, contacted me with their latest single, 'All Around The World.' Jay-Z - $100 Bill (Snippet)

This is a f*cking SICK snippet of '$100 Bill' by Jay-Z that is going to be featured on the soundtrack for 'The Great Gatsby' that is set to be released May 10th. If the rest of the soundtrack has this much quality, I might be tempted to get it. Suprisingly, I couldn't find a full-length leaked version, so we'll all have to wait a couple weeks, but listen to this now and hear the greatness.


 

Mac Miller (Larry Fisherman) - SHOWTIME (Mixtape)

Mac Miller, under his production stage name "Larry Fisherman," dropped this mixtape on 4/20. The tape features Mac and a ton of other artists that have started producing. It definitely has the feel of the last tape that "Fisherman" released with the cool, jazz-like touch to it. I'm not sure what to think of it yet, but I was hoping there would be more Mac and not as much Fisherman. Give it a chance for now.


 

Kanye West - 2001 Demo Tape (Unreleased)

Wiz & Curren$y are dropping their mixtape 'Live In Concert' tomorrow, 4/20, of course. This is the first track released from the tape and it has a really chill, live sound to it. I was reading the comments associated with this post on HNHH and a lot of people were hatin. If you're a fan of Wiz's songs on his previous albums and tapes, you might not enjoy this one as much, only because the style is completely different. I'm a fan, though, and will be posting the rest of the tape tomorrow! Be ready.

The hook is chill and features none other than Drake because he always kills hooks, even when they are as simple as in this song.

Alright, so I could not pass this mixtape up. There are two parts that feature just about every huge artist in the game - Weezy, Wale, Fabolous, Kendrick Lamar - the list goes on and on. Fraud's mixtape, 'Adrift,' that I posted a little while back is incredible. Eddie B does a great job of tearing up these beats, but I'm giving a lot of credit to Fraud.

Big K.R.I.T.'s newest mixtape just dropped and it's pretty dope. He produced almost all of the songs himself, and continues to spit some fire on them. 'Country Shit' is still probably my favorite song by K.R.I.T., but this mixtape is solid. Check it out and download for free.

Timeflies is a sick hip hop artist that has taken over the party music scene. This is his new song released on his YouTube channel a couple weeks ago. Every few weeks he uploads some new songs so I definitely recommend subscribing to his channel. This song features samples from Rihanna's 'Stay.'

 

Chiddy Bang - Friday (On My Way)

This is the newest from Chiddy Bang called 'Friday.' The beat produced by The Hood Internet is pretty chill, but Chiddy turns it up and kills it. I'm not sure how I feel about the use of a vocoder, but the song is still great.


 

Yonas - Temptation Ft. Lucian Walker

Yonas just dropped this new track. 'Temptation' is a little more mellowed out from his typical party music style, but he still maintains a decent amount of energy. I've become a huge fan of Yonas thanks to my friend Josh Singer. He spits some truth and his beats are always dope. Check it out.

Mac Lethal - "Everyday Looper" Rap/Sun Storm

If you've never heard of Mac Lethal, he is a sick, fast-spitting rapper from Kansas City, Missouri. His song 'Sun Storm' was featured as the outro on the first season of 'America's Best Dance Crew.' Finding that song was how I found out about him. He recently uploaded a video to his YouTube account where he uses an awesome app called 'Everyday Looper' to quickly create his own beat and then he spits fire all over it. I highly recommend getting the app if you have a few extra iTunes $$ to spend. I just got it and although it takes a little time to figure it out, there is so much potential. I decided to post this one under the hip hop/rap category just because the main lyrical line is B.I.G. Chip Ivory is a great mashup artist that just released this song a week and a half ago. Fat Joe is far from my favorite artist in the rap game, but this song is sick. The beat, produced by Illa The Producer and Infared, is incredible. It has some nice plucks and hits that give it a unique song that is perfect for these guys.


 

Kendrick Lamar Ft. Jay-Z - Bitch Don't Kill My Vibe (Remix)

This is a sick, chilled-out hip hop song. Kendrick Lamar is one of the best in the game in my opinion. Obviously, Jay-Z has plenty of credentials to back his skill, but this song is dope. The hook is awesome too. Give it a listen.

This is a new song from DJ Drama. It's pretty casual and chill, but I'm a fan. DJ Drama has some great songs like 'My Moment' that I recommend you check out if you like this one.

 

Blood Diamonds - Barcode Ft. Dominic Lord

Alright, so I was a little hesitant when deciding which section to put this song in. It's labeled as a trap song coming from Blood Diamonds who is signed under Skrillex's always-growing label OWSLA. To me, this song sounded like a unique rap song rather than anything related to EDM. Anyways, check it out. The hook is sick - I really like the combination of dirty bass and deep hip hop vocals.

 

Aer - Take It Wrong

Aer is a sick duo that puts out some of the chillest songs I've ever heard. This is their newest 'Take It Wrong' that is almost beyond chill. Give this one a listen and enjoy. Also, make sure to check out Aer's music. They're a really talented group.

  

Dizzy Wright Ft. Joey Bada$$ - Maintain

This track just dropped a few minutes ago, but I already love it. It's a solid, chill song that has an old-school feel to it. If you're into 90's rap, you'll probably enjoy this. Even if you don't, I'm sure you'll like this just because it's so smooth.

This kid performed this hilarious, but amazing cover of Lil Jon's 'Get Low' at a coffee shop near where my school is. My friend Josh showed me the video awhile back, but I totally forgot about it until now. Dan is an incredible artist and you can find his 'Promotional EP' on iTunes. Mike Stud puts out some of the best college rap you can find. This song is pretty catchy, and the beat, produced by Scott Storch, is so sick. Honestly, I feel like anyone could spit to this and sound amazing, but Mike Stud kills it nonetheless.

 

Action Bronson - Morey Boogie Boards

This is the first song I've heard by Action Bronson, and I was actually pretty impressed. He looks like the white version of Rick Ross, not that that has anything to do with the song. But, this beat is just straight dirty. Check it.


 

Drake - 5AM In Toronto

I still believe that Drake is one of the sickest in the game. His verses are always tight and real. This is a freestyle he released that was produced by Boi-1da. The beat is simple, but it's just a dope song.
